Bali Buddy App – Managed by JFD (“Bali Buddy”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a digital platform that connects users with third-party businesses offering promotions, events, and services in Bali. Bali Buddy operates as an independent platform facilitating connections between users and third-party businesses. We do not operate as a licensed travel agency, booking agent, or service provider.
2. Nature of the Platform
Bali Buddy operates solely as a discovery and listing platform.
- We do not own, operate, or control any third-party businesses listed on the platform.
- All services, offers, and experiences are provided directly by independent businesses.
- The app is free to use and may display advertisements. Ad content is served by third-party advertising networks and does not imply endorsement by Bali Buddy.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, safety, or quality of any listings.
3. User Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to access age-restricted content or promotions.
- The platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
- You are responsible for complying with local laws applicable to you.
4. User Accounts
- You may create an account using email registration, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Provide accurate information when registering and keep your details up to date.
- Use the platform lawfully and respectfully.
- Do not engage in fraudulent, misleading, or abusive behaviour.
5. Business Listings
- Businesses are fully responsible for their listings, pricing, promotions, and services.
- Bali Buddy does not verify or guarantee listing accuracy.
- By submitting listing content (including text, images, and descriptions), businesses grant Bali Buddy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the platform.
- We reserve the right to remove, modify, or suspend any listing at any time and at our sole discretion.
6. Business Subscriptions & Packages
- Business users may purchase listing packages (e.g. Essentials, Premium, VIP Boost) to promote their listings on the platform.
- Each new business account includes one free Place listing.
- Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) and auto-renew unless cancelled.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time via your account dashboard or by contacting info@balibuddy.app.
- Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
- Bali Buddy reserves the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.
7. Payments
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Bali Buddy does not store, access, or process credit card or payment card details directly.
- Bali Buddy may display offers or redirect users to third-party booking or ticketing platforms (such as Megatix). Any transactions on those platforms are subject to their own terms and conditions.
- Bali Buddy may earn commissions or fees from certain listings, promotions, or third-party services.
- We are not responsible for transactions, refunds, cancellations, or service delivery by third parties.
8. Push Notifications
- With your permission, we may send push notifications about promotions, events, and updates.
- You can opt out of push notifications at any time via your device settings.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in illegal or fraudulent activity
- Provide false or misleading information
- Misuse the platform in a way that harms other users or businesses
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Bali Buddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- We are not responsible for any loss arising from third-party services, bookings, promotions, or events.
- We are not responsible for any issues arising from third-party payment processing.
The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
11. Content & Moderation
- We reserve the right to review, remove, or modify any content or listing at our discretion.
- We are not responsible for user-generated or business-submitted content.
- Users and businesses must not submit content that is illegal, offensive, misleading, or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted within the app with a new effective date. Your continued use of Bali Buddy after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
Personal Data (provided by you):
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Account credentials and profile information
- Business details (for business accounts)
Location Data:
- Collected only with your explicit permission to show nearby listings and promotions
- Can be disabled at any time via your device settings
- If location is unavailable, we default to a general Bali location
Device & Usage Data (collected automatically):
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- App interactions, screen views, and feature usage
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) for personalised ads
- Push notification tokens for delivering notifications
2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide and improve app functionality and user experience
- Display relevant promotions, events, and listings based on your location and preferences
- Process subscription payments via third-party payment providers
- Send push notifications about promotions, events, and updates (with your consent)
- Analyse app usage to improve performance and content
- Serve personalised advertisements
- Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Data Sharing
We may share data with:
- Partner businesses — only where necessary to provide services you have requested
- Payment processors — to process subscription and transaction payments
- Analytics and advertising providers — to understand app usage and serve relevant ads
- Law enforcement — where required by law or to protect rights and safety
4. Third-Party Services
The app integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

- Zoho SalesIQ — in-app customer support chat
5. Local Storage
- The app stores preferences, saved listings, and recently viewed content locally on your device
- This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless required for app functionality
6. Data Security
- Data is transmitted using encrypted connections (SSL/TLS)
- We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information
- Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers
7. Data Retention
- Personal data is retained for the duration of your active account
- Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law
- Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely in aggregate form
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data held by us
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for location access and push notifications at any time via your device settings
- Opt out of personalised advertising via your device’s ad settings

9. Account Deletion
You may request account deletion:
- Within the app: Profile → Manage Account → Delete Account

Requests are processed within 30 days. All personal data will be permanently deleted where legally permitted. Active subscriptions should be cancelled before requesting deletion.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted within the app with a new effective date. Your continued use of Bali Buddy after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
